The vast majority of the 4th ward has their Black Cart trash cans picked up on Tuesdays, other than some residens south of around 50th street which are picked up on Monday’s

Blue Carts are for recycling, whereas black carts are for trash pickup.
Blue Carts are picked up every other week, but not necessarily on the same day so there is not a designated schedule.
Need to request a bin, or replace an existing bin?
Requests for new bins typcally take 2-3 weeks to fulfill, and need to be requested through Chicago’s 311 system.
